Welcome !

WELCOME! Come join the fun with Troop 83 or just come be a scout for a day during our Michigan Lakes trip to try it out.

Troop 83 is full of fun.  We meet on Mondays from 7 pm to 8:30 pm; except for holidays and other announced times.  For more information, please send the scoutmaster or the senior patrol leader an e-mail on the "Contact Us" page.

We are all about the fun.  We have recently restructured ourselves to be more productive and have more fun but to also instill the values that Boy Scouts is known for.  YOU are the most important part to our success.  As a small troop, we all know eachother and we help eachother progress both in the troop and in our personal lives.  Come be a part of the fun.  It will be the best time of your life.

Thank you for your interest in our troop where we "Catch the Scouting Spirit!"

Planning Weekend

Posted on Mar 3 2015 - 9:10am

All Scouts need to come up with 3 overnight camps, 3 family outings, 3 places to have a meeting besides the church, and 3 day outtings.  Need when, where, how, and how much. Bring it to planning weekend then we can all vote and discuss all options.

I will put $100 in any scout's scout account for every boy they invite to join the troop. The new boy must join he troop by the end of March and stay with the troop for at least two months. Maximum of $1000 will be given.

For younger boys, a good source of contacts would be our friends at school or other organization you are a part of. For the older boys, it may be younger brothers of your friends that you know from these same places.

If you have any questions, give me a call or write me an email.

Go for it!
